Painting what I love.

Painting is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I love capturing the personality of an animal, whether it's a friend's dog, a shaggy Highland cow or a stag in a glowing forest, and the quiet magic of a figure caught in a moment of freedom or change. My work moves between animal portraits, imaginative scenes and studies of texture and color.

About

Portrait of Juli Prekaski smiling, with wavy blonde hair and a black top

I'm an Eastside artist who has been making art around Kirkland for years, simply for the joy of it. My practice moves between acrylic and oil on canvas and detailed graphite and colored-pencil drawing.

By day I lead user experience teams in tech, which means I spend a lot of time figuring out how people learn and what helps an idea click. I bring that same thinking into the classroom: clear steps, lots of encouragement, and a finished piece every student is proud to take home.
